i am wondering if anyone has heard how mary is doing.. any contacts?
Gopher,
I hope you realize how incredibly lucky you were! I got mine cut out late on a Friday night. I didn't leave the hospital until Monday which was probably too early. I got one NASTY infection from it (doesn't help that my imune system is weaker than most people's because I'm also insulin dependant diabetic) and was pretty much out of commision for a month. When they did mine I was fully cut open and everything. The incision is probably about 5 inches long.
I really wish they would have done something like your operation when I had mine taken out.
part iii of the annual on the road again, down from the fountain (of truth) series.. - from half-moon bay california - .
owing to mechanical problems, mrs know_you and i have had to delay our plans for the day.
the missus kindly agreed to sit in the repair shop awaiting the re-emergence of our means of conveyance, which may take all day, while i have decided to sacrifice part of my vacation to address the subject of evolution.
I didn't read the original post on this or any following discussion and don't really care too. My only question is why do you all bother with people like this? All it does is encourage them. Ignore and they shall go away.

After almost 2 months I'm actually pretty much back to normal. I still can't lift very heavy stuff and I've got a nasty scar but other than that I'm good.
Thanks for asking.
not too long ago someone posted a thread here and it had sound.
i didn't have to click on a link, the sound just played automatically when the post came up.
mike.
Please, please, please, don't start putting audio into a post. Many people (self included) listen to music on their PC's when surfing the web. Going to a website, enduring a longer download of a page, then having sounds that you won't like mixing in with the music you actually want to hear and making both unlistenable is pure hell. Unless you're running a site for a musician or band I have yet to see one single site that is enhanced by adding music to it. If you absolutely must include audio into your site make it start only if and when the user wants it to.

Mom's fine. Thanks for asking.

after the battlefield that the last thread on this subject turned into, i'm almost afraid to post this, but it would be nice to see how many of you i might expect to see this weekend.. wnfj is the original ex-jw convention; this weekend (oct. 18-20) will be the 24th year.it is definitely christian in orientation, and features, music, prayer and talks on a variety of topics relating to jw's and biblical christianity.

Wow, thanks for having an event just for me but unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. Dad and I are going over to Satan's place to play Nintendo.
i was going through my closet today and came across a box of old pictures.
some of them had this girl i used to be friends with in them.
we were friends in school and after graduation she was one of the only people i cared to stay in touch with.
Well, for any of you who may care to follow up on this thread I saw the girl who I've been talking about here earlier this week and she's just changed even more. I don't know how many of you have ever heard of the Fall Festival but its a big fair that's basically a midwestern version of Mardi Gras that's colder, doesn't have alcohol all over the place, and ends much earlier in the evening. Yeah, that pretty much makes it sound the opposite but they're both really big street fairs (as in the largest and second largest in the country in regards to the number of people who attend) that are held yearly. There are also many food booths that are set up by various clubs and charities every year. You have everything from churches, schools, clubs, and political parties selling every type of food you can imagine (chocolate covered crickets, cow brain sandwiches, and other more common stuff like turkey and pizza).
Anyway, I saw this girl working in a food booth that belonged to a church group. This is the same girl who never went to church past middle school even once and went on and on about how she hated so many different things in the bible. I didn't go over and say hi or anything because its pretty plain to see that I wouldn't know her at all. Sad. :(
do we judge others?
it seems to be we don't judge about things we don't care about.
for example, if you think inter-racial marriages are ok, then you don't judge people in a an inter-racial marriage.
Dad damnit, haven't you all learned that the only ones who are really fit to judge anyone are dad and I? You just don't learn do you? All I can say is that I hope I don't have to come down there and die again for you people.
i have a simulated discussion with chris, a christian and john, a witness on my web site.
they discuss whether jesus is really a master worker.
see what you think.. http://www.towertotruth.net/masterworkerpt1.htm.
Actually, I'm not dad's master worker. Some people like to think that I am but its really this guy named Vinnie. He's just a whiz when it comes to stuff like that.
BTW, get back to work Aguest before I sell you off to Satan for being a bad little slave who spends more time on discussion boards instead of working to buy me a DeLorean. Its so fun ruling the world but I still can't get one of those cars!
